Founded by gentleman farmer Guido Berlucchi in 1955 with two associates, who produced decent still wines until, in 1961, their bottle-fermented sparkling wine achieved a quality level that rivalled anything that was being produced in France. They were this Chardonnay / Pinot Noir.
