They all require a moisture-retentive soil that does not get too hot, so are ideal for growing in the dappled shade under deciduous trees or naturalised in grass where they`ll form colonies.The collection consists of 25 bulbs, 5 of Fritillaria meleagris var. unicolor subvar. alba, 3 Fritallaria michailovskyi, 15 Fritillaria uva-vulpis and 2 Fritillaria pontica.Fritillaria meleagris var. unicolor subvar. alba - Pretty, pendent, pure white bells 4-5cm long on slender stems (Apr-May).Fritallaria michailovskyi - Delightful, bell-shaped pendent 3cm blooms in brownish-purple with distinctive yellow tips (May-Jun).Fritillaria uva-vulpis - Narrow, pendent bell-shaped dark brown flowers 2.5cm long, tinged yellow inside (Apr-May). Fritillaria pontica - Singular or pairs of pendent pale green flowers 4cm long, tinged maroon at the base (Apr-May).
