CrÃzes-Hermitage is the largest appellation of the northern RhÃne, and although dominated by large cooperatives, there are still small independent producers. This wine is made by Yves Cheron, from the fruits of his 9-hectare estates mature Syrah vines. Muscularity and power typical of RhÃne Syrah, combining intense red and black fruit with notes of sweet spice and darker, smokier notes. Middleweight tannins provide good balance and length. A great match for roast guinea fowl.
